SmartStart is an online service that provides information and resources to new kiwi parents about what to expect regarding the growth of their children as they progress through their development stages.
As a part of this they were seeking a large number of illustrative assets to be created to support this.
The illustrations needed to be friendly and brightly coloured and fit in with the established aesthetic of their existing brand assets but pushing further in terms of warmth, fun and relatability.
I approached this by creating loose thumbnail sketches for each concept and refining them across a multi stage refinement process where I gathered feedback on direction from stakeholders.
This was a very fun project and I was thrilled to assist in producing about 50 final vector illustrations for a variety of purposes to be used across the Smartstart website and print assets.
I think my favourite one is the spaghetti toddler!
